Armored

It's doubtful this by-the-books heist flick will be winning any awards, but for some fun escapist entertainment, one can (and probably has) certainly endured a hell of a lot worse, because this one at least offers a satisfying combination of action and strong character dynamics.

The Fourth Kind (Blu-ray)

Overall I just found "The Fourth Kind" to be dull. I've never been intrigued by people that thought they had been kidnapped by aliens, and the psychoanalysis of them is even less interesting to me. I personally think your time is better spent watching "Fire in the Sky" or "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" if you want a UFO fix.

Ninja Assassin (Blu-ray)

I think fans of martial arts movies and comic books will enjoy "Ninja Assassin" the most. It's a solid entry into the genre and I'd be interested in seeing a sequel and following Raizo in his other adventures. There's certainly room to improve from this movie.

The Princess and the Frog (Blu-ray)

"The Princess and the Frog" is a required addition to the collections of Disney animation fans. It's also a great addition to the collections of kids under 10. Everyone else may just want to rent it once to check it out and then just revisit some of the other Disney neo-classics.

Old Dogs (Blu-ray)

The conservative and committee-prone style of filmmaking Hollywood offers can churn out some good stuff, but more often than not we get stuff like "Old Dogs" instead. Heartless, brainless and unable to do anything with what it does have to offer, it doesn't know who it's for or what it's offering. It just needs to get made because people have to have something to do. Spare yourself and your kids.
